Jumbocolor backdrops
Jumbocolor primarily organises printed scenic backdrops for the Film and Television Industry. Recent work includes graphic panels for the main Comic Relief set, the two Bridget Jones movies, the Bourne Supremacy and many more.
Originally the business was based in Berkshire but two and a half years ago Mike Elsey, the Managing Director, escaped the rat-race to live in Cornwall, where business is now blossoming.
Mike has become so used to broadband being an integral part of his business that he finds it easy to forget how much it improves the way his business runs.
Mike says “Broadband has really helped Jumbocolor. Now we can receive and send large graphic files with ease. We have come to rely on it all the time and it has become even more important now that Rosco Digital (USA) have appointed us as their UK & European Distributor.”
Rosco Digital is the largest producer of printed scenery in the US. They specialise in dual day and night backdrops and Jumbocolor are proud to be associated with this US based company. Most of Mike’s communications with them is by email and the Internet so broadband has become even more valuable. As a result of this association, Jumbocolor has become a major supplier of printed scenery and printed props to the UK Film & Television Industry.
Since arriving in Cornwall Jumbocolor has also expanded to sell corporate flags and banners and Mike finds that more and more of his orders are coming via the web from companies and individuals from all areas of the UK.
