Kimberley’s Independent Estate Agents have offices in Falmouth and Truro. Since installing broadband they are finding it much easier to dovetail the work of the two offices.
Mandy Pryor, Administration Manager, says “Now we can be in immediate contact with each other. Just as soon as we have the details and photos of a property in the Falmouth office, they are almost immediately at the Truro office too and we can update our website straightaway. Most of the big property portals are only updated every 24 hours. This means we’re giving a much better service to our customers.”
“Broadband is also fantastic when we are sending colour photos to the newspapers – previously that would have taken hours but now it’s so fast! It has also freed up our fax line so customers can get through without getting the engaged signal all the time.”
Mandy also appreciates the fact that with broadband, the connection is ‘always on.’
“With dial up, I sometimes could not get online at all because the line was often busy. But now I don’t have to worry about it and it’s great knowing you have that stability. Being permanently connected also makes it simple to respond straightway to customer enquiries and that has a positive effect on our performance.”
Mandy has also had broadband installed at home. “As a working mother, I really value the flexibility I have now. I can email work over to my house and catch up with it in the evening after the children are in bed. Broadband makes it all so much easier to be flexible and work efficiently from home.”
“As a small business, we could not have afforded broadband in all four locations without the subsidy from actnow. It has made a huge difference to us and I am sure it gives us a competitive edge.”
