Quintdown Press

Quintdown Press is a printing company with outlets in Truro, Camborne and Newquay where Quintdown also run an Internet Café.

Since installing broadband in May 2002, owner John Jay has been delighted by the effect broadband has had on the business.

John says “We have literally seen an instant improvement in revenue in the Internet café and greater productivity in the print business as a direct result of installing ADSL broadband. This has not been a gradual improvement – but an instant benefit to the business.”

Revenue in the Internet café increased by 50% within weeks of installing broadband, with the print side of the business seeing greater productivity and staff efficiency, as the faster transfer of files from one outlet to another enabled a quicker turn around of work. They have also made cost savings on couriers and the lower production costs mean better value for money for customers, making the business more competitive.

“We now save time and money in downloading large emails containing images and data from clients. Previously, data files were hand delivered by van” says John. “Now, turnaround can be as fast as one working day using our ADSL broadband connection to transfer data.

“We are seeing our business grow significantly as a result of broadband as we are now able to offer an efficient service to clients further afield. We are now working with national as well as local clients.”
