Dave and Melinda Rickett run an award-winning design consultancy, Creative Edge, in Truro.
Their business provides a comprehensive service in the production of websites, logos, corporate identities, brochures, stationery, packaging, exhibition design and advertising to a wide range of companies.
This means the company spends a lot of time online and need to transfer large volumes of data to and from their office. In such a deadline driven industry, where design solutions have to be delivered on time and on budget, speed of communication is essential.
Creative Edge switched to broadband in November 2001 and since then the company has grown; doubling its staffing and tripling its sales.
Dave said “Broadband has streamlined the way we operate and allows us to provide an even better service to our clients. It makes the business more effective and efficient because the time and cost savings have been huge. The change has been more significant than we imagined especially as more and more of our clients have moved over to broadband and realise the opportunities it offers them. The downside is that our clients expect the work to be turned around even faster and deadlines are getting shorter!”
