CFP Software

Based in Redruth, CFP Software are the UK’s largest supplier of residential property management and lettings software.  The company was an early adopter of broadband technology and signed up with actnow back in June 2002 shortly after their local exchange went live.

In May 2006, CFP Software picked up the Cornwall Business Award for ‘Best use of technology’ sponsored by actnow.

Managing Director Mark Daruvalla describes why the use of new technology is essential to the business:

“We needed to find new ways to add value to our existing product. We decided to web enable our software to provide the landlords of our clients with the ability to receive 24/7 information about their properties on the web.”

“Using broadband technology and the Internet in conjunction with our desktop application, we have provided our customers with the ability to offer an enhanced service to their landlords, as well as an additional income stream should they decide to charge their landlords for this service.  This enhanced service also enables them to win more business.  The benefit to us is that we have been able to sell more desktop applications because we have a unique selling proposition in this internet link, which keeps us ahead of the competition.

“The technology we have deployed has saved the agent time since the information he used to have to answer phone calls on and send out paper reports for is now available 24/7 to his landlords with no interruption to our customers.

By successfully satisfying their customers needs, CFP Software have gained a competitive edge and the benefits are showing where it really matters – on the bottom line.  Mark says:

“The power of new technology has helped us increase sales, profits and crucially market share: we now have a 30% penetration in the UK residential property management and lettings software market and this is growing daily.”
