Welcome to actnow

Led by Cornwall Development Company, actnow is a not-for-profit partnership project dedicated to accelerating economic growth and social inclusion in Cornwall through the use of the Internet and ICT.

actnow has been one of the most successful projects delivered in Cornwall under the Objective One programme and has helped well over 10,000 businesses, farms and voluntary organisations since it started in April 2002.

Although the actnow projct is no longer currently operational, please continue to use the website for broadband and ICT information - its a great resource and we'll aim to keep it up to date!

ICT advice for businesses in Cornwall is available through Business Link's enhanced service funded through the EU Convergence programme here.

Leading the way in flexible working

actnow also spearheaded the innovative project called actnow flex, promoting the use of flexible working to SMEs in South West England, and produced an online flexible working toolkit. This project ran until December 2008. The results of the project were one of the subjects at the "Business anytime anywhere" conference held on the 4th November 2008 at the Eden Project, Cornwall. Looking to the future

Cornwall Council are working with the South West of England Regional Development Agency and other stakeholders about building on the success of actnow through the Convergence programme (click here for further details about Convergence) so that Cornwall can continue to gain competitive advantage through its use of broadband and ICT. These discussions are ongoing and further information will be released as soon as it is available.
