Project Officer

Peter joined in 2006 as an Account Manager to work on the actnow flex project.

He comes with an IT background gained over many years working in both private and public sector companies and in a wide variety of IT roles including programming, systems analysis, project management, training and management.

Belinda Waldock

Belinda Waldock
Agricultural IT Advisor (Business Link)

Belinda has been associated with actnow since May 2002 and for the past two years she has been dedicated to providing IT advice to agricultural businesses. Having grown up on a farm and a graduate in Computing, Belinda has an ideal background to help farm businesses benefit from IT.Business Link Logo

Belinda has gained extensive knowledge of the uses and benefits of IT on farms, having advised over 500 farms in Cornwall.  Within IT she is an expert on website development with excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, general IT use and business issues.

She is available for free advice to farms through her role with Business Link South West and can be contacted by email at belinda.waldock@blpeninsula.co.uk.

Finance & admin

Sue Pearce

Sue Pearce
Financial Controller

Providing the financial management to all aspects of the project, Sue heads up the Finance and Administration team.

Sue oversees the smooth running of the rebates process for actnow’s customers as well as ensuring the project complies with the stringent requirements faced by all European funded projects.

Previously employment included Cornwall College and Falmouth College of Arts. Sue successfully qualified with CIMA in 2000.

Susan Smith

Susan Smith
Finance Assistant

Sue joined the project in October 2003 and ensures actnow customers receive their rebates on broadband connections efficiently.

Prior to joining the project, Sue worked in various financial roles and has extensive customer service experience.

Having recently passed her AAT exams, Sue is now studying for the ATT qualification.

Olwen White

Olwen White
PA Administrator

Olwen joined the actnow project in June 2004 as PA to the Project Director and Administrator and has since qualified as an Executive Secretary..

Olwen has had a varied career having worked as a secretary for the Keep Britain Tidy Group, a sales administrator for Computeach International and an insurance underwriter for Legal & General.

Julian Cowans

Julian Cowans
Programme Development Manager

Julian manages the actnow team and works on developing future strategies for the actnow programme. These include looking into next generation broadband services, introducing Cornwall-wide wireless broadband access and developing the actnow eMarketplace project proposal.

Before joining actnow Julian worked at the University of Bath developing IT systems, and for Cramer Systems in Bath developing and implementing telecommunications software.

Julian spent 10 years working overseas in oil exploration, with stints living in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Mexico. He returned to university in 1999 to study Computing Science at Imperial College. Prior to working, he studied Physics at Oxford University and Geophysics at Imperial.
