Helston  Computer Club was set up by retired local businessman, John Mitchell, in 2006 to provide broadband internet access to people in the local community. The club's aim is to increase skills levels, so that people can get the most out of the Internet and IT. (Click here for the full story)

Porthcurno Telegraph Museum

The Porthcurno Telegraph Museum is a unique and world famous landmark destination, showcasing the spot at which telegraph cables first connected the UK to India in 1870. ‘As the birthplace of global communications, we are delighted that the actnow reach programme has enabled the museum not just to talk about the past but also put modern communications technology into action. Roscadghill Area Residents Association

Roscadghill Area Residents Association is the driving force behind five housing estates just outside Penzance, where three hundred households live. With a new grant of £3000 through actnow reach, the Association is now buying three laptops and hiring the services of an IT trainer, who will coach volunteers to become Internet eChampions.
